Gessi, voice of longevity at the Milan Longevity Summit 2026

The future of wellbeing begins in the most intimate space of living

From May 20 to 23, Gessi took part as an official partner of the Milan Longevity Summit 2026, the leading international event dedicated to longevity, prevention, and quality of life. Four days of dialogue brought together scientists, physicians, designers, researchers, institutions, and global companies, all united by the idea that longevity is not only about how long we live, but above all about how we choose to live. This is a field that Gessi has not merely observed, but has actively helped shape throughout its history.

During the panel The Architecture of Feeling: Designers, Artists and the Spaces That Shape Emotion, Gianluca Valsesia, Chief Commercial Officer of Gessi, joined architect Carolina Nisivoccia, internationally renowned artist and designer Duyi Han, and other leading voices from the contemporary creative world in discussing how materials, light, color palettes, and sensory design influence our psychological and physical wellbeing. Gessi shared the perspective of a company that was among the first to believe in the regenerative potential of the most intimate space in living, and that now sees this vision becoming a shared cultural language.

In the panel From Daily Rituals to Life-Long Wellness, Gessi opened a broader reflection on the power of everyday gestures and on how simple rituals, repeated over time, can become true instruments of wellbeing and longevity. Together with Professor Ennio Tasciotti, Director of the Human Longevity Program at IRCCS San Raffaele in Rome and Professor of Aging Medicine at San Raffaele University in Rome, and Professor Piero Barbanti, Director of the Headache and Pain Unit at IRCCS San Raffaele and Full Professor of Neurology, the discussion explored the profound connection between stress, aging, and regenerative daily practices.

At the heart of the conversation was steam and its benefits for both body and mind, from reducing cortisol levels to supporting sleep and relaxation. The discussion naturally connected with the concept of the Longevity Ritual presented by Gessi during Milan Design Week 2026, as well as with the world premiere of the Steam Ritual: the first solution in the world capable of bringing steam directly into the home shower, transforming it into an immediate and personalized experience. Benefits historically associated with spas and wellness centers are now made part of everyday living by Gessi, contributing to a new vision of longevity rooted in the quality of daily life.

The Milan Longevity Summit reinforced a belief that has always guided Gessi: the wellbeing of the future will not rely solely on technology or medicine, but also on the ability to shape spaces, gestures, and rituals capable of genuinely improving people’s lives over time, making them feel understood and represented in the most intimate moments of their everyday lives.
